Chicken Tinga

Smoky chipotle, gentle heat.

Shredded chicken in a smoky chipotle-tomato sauce with onion. Bright, smoky, just enough kick — this is the one regulars come back for.

Cochinita-Style Pork

Yucatán warmth in every bite.

Citrus-marinated pork cooked until it falls apart, with achiote and a whisper of orange. A taste of the Yucatán, wrapped in golden masa.

nuestra historia

It started with a grandmother,a tortilla,and stubbornness.

In 2012 a small storefront opened in Mexico City — recipes from an abuela who fed everyone who walked in, family or not. Word travelled. The shop did, too. We carried those same recipes north to Canada, kept the masa the same, kept the people who matter even closer.

Chenchachona is named after her. It’s also what she would have called you if she liked you. (She would have liked you.)
